On April 5, 2019, the U.S. International Trade Commission unanimously voted that there is a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of unfairly traded imports of carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from China, India, Taiwan, and Thailand.
With this vote, the U.S. Department of Commerce will be instructed to continue its investigation into the level of dumping and subsidization of such imports.
These investigations were initiated upon a petition filed by Schagrin Associates on behalf of Vulcan Threaded Products, Inc., a U.S. producer of steel threaded rods.
