Junior to Mid-Level International Trade Associate

Schagrin Associates, a prominent boutique law firm specializing in international trade litigation and policy, seeks a junior to mid-level associate to join our growing practice.  The attorney will assist in the prosecution of antidumping and countervailing duty cases against unfairly traded imports, advise clients on regulatory matters related to the importation and exportation of merchandise, and assist clients in navigating the fast-changing landscape in international trade policy.  The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in trade remedies law (antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings) as an attorney in either a law firm setting or at one of the relevant government agencies or U.S. courts.  Experience with customs law, trade policy, and WTO proceedings is also beneficial.  Foreign language skills are a definite plus.  The candidate must have a juris doctorate degree and be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction with the ability to be admitted in the District of Columbia.  The candidate should also have outstanding academic credentials.

Antidumping Analyst

We are seeking an analyst proficient in the SAS program used
by Enforcement & Compliance at the U.S. Department of Commerce to
calculate dumping margins.


The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing questionnaire responses, identifying deficiencies in the responses and drafting comments discussing issues for further exploration, calculating dumping margins under different scenarios, and reviewing the Program Log for ministerial errors.


The analyst will collaborate with attorneys and other analysts on a wide range
of litigation and policy projects.


Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, and
the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
