WASHINGTON, D.C. – On August 25th, 2025, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced its final affirmative determination in the antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of Corrosion-Resistant Steel (CORE) Products from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, The United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.

As a result of these determinations, imports of CORE may be subject to remedial duties after the ITC votes on whether these imports injured domestic producers of the same products. Their vote is scheduled for September 25th, 2025. Specific dumping rates to highlight include a 19.1% rate for Australia, 24.05% rate for Brazil, 10.85% rate for Vietnam, 6.48% rate for Turkey, and 110.19% rate for Vietnam.

Commerce’s announcements on these ten countries follow a prior final determination that CORE was dumped in the United States and an October 21, 2024 ITC affirmative determination that the U.S. Department of Commerce would investigate subsidies provided to producers of corrosion-resistant steel in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and Vietnam and whether producers in all ten countries are dumping their product in the United States at unfair prices.
