Michelle R. Avrutin

Michelle Avrutin has varied and significant experience in international trade matters. She joined Schagrin Associates after graduating cum laude from law school and after working as a Summer Associate for the Law Offices of Stewart & Stewart.

 

Ms. Avrutin has experience in antidumping and countervailing duties investigations. Prior to joining the firm, she interned in the Office of the Chief Counsel for Enforcement and Compliance within the Department of Commerce and for the Office of the General Counsel of the United States International Trade Commission. 

 

Ms. Avrutin also has experience in trade policy and compliance. She interned in the Office of Europe & Middle East Affairs for the United States Trade Representative and for the International Trade Counsel of the Senate Finance Committee. She has also helped to advise clients with food, drug, and environmental regulatory compliance in the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. 

 

Ms. Avrutin has authored articles for several publications, presented her published research at various international relations conferences, and authored an article that appeared in the Global Arbitration Review.

 

During law school, Ms. Avrutin served as Editor-in-Chief of The Arbitration Brief and sat on the executive board of the European Law Student Association.
